Dingle in a day,,
Well day 4 and made more tracks, we debated tour city of Cork or go to the seaside drive 2 hours away..... Well these country folk dumped the city in exchange for an amazing drive through mountains and along the coastline. Again Rob did a great job navigating the twisty windy roads and barely finding the exits and not always picking the right roads but we made it. Rob always feels like he is training for NASCAR here when he gets behind the wheel of our Nissan shitbox but he is thanking me now for upgrading from the standard to the automatic for 250.00 hahahah. Amazing saw remains of the dwellings of inhabitants from 2000 BC amazing stone bee hives that inhabited early people in colonies. check out the pics. We also wondered upon another castle somewhat smaller then the others but certainly of interest by the sea Menard castle. Had a short stop for Irish coffee and apple pie then we headed onto the point of the Dingle Peninsula's ........Slea head. What beauty wow today was overcast and a bit of rain I would love to see this in the sunshine. Just before the point was a statue of Jesus on the cross we are not sure so the significance was but I posted a pic for you to see. I was amazed by the green farmland on the rolling slopes of the mountain with many sheep grazing. I took many pics with my good camera forgetting to double with the iPhone so not sure if you can appreciate what we saw. The only way I am uploading is with my iPhone cause did not bring my laptop:(. Again we can't believe every fence or division of land is with a stone fence such beauty and this can also be seen in the many bridges that look like a castle wall. Hope you are as interested as we are in this very interesting historical place. Josh and Heather have been here and hit it right on hard to navigate the small roadways and lack of signage an yes soot to the Cliffs of Moher just need to kiss the Blarney Stone in the am and visit Blarney castle!!!!
